I look forward to matches today, though I wish there were other players in it...
I still dislike watching Raonic's lumbering manufactured tennis, Berdych's choking and Murray's ugly square jaw gaping and yelling profanities....
So....GO ROGER!!!!!Â

Oh god I have to go with brain.
Raonic 50%
Murray 70%
Federer can do it - and it should be easier than Cilic... but Raonic is gonna throw everything. Then again... Federer has never lost in a Wimbledon SF.

Re: Day 12 - It's everything or nothing!
Seeing Raonic and Federer walk out court...made me sad Nole is not here.
Nole and Fed are such smooth athletes...I love the way they both just walk...Fed like a cat, Nole tall with a perfect straight back...they look sooo good.
Nobody left in the draw is worthy of playing Federer....so he must win. Not just today but on Sunday, too.
This is my A personality talking...sorry I don't have a spare one.

One poor game costs him. Can't afford to have another 3hour match.

Raonic...really is just a big serve.
And not even that serve is natural.
Fed donated him the fist set...during his warm-up mode.

milos cracking under the pressure, good sign for federer who is able to keep his cool under pressure and able to raise his game when it really matters
that said, milos has improved an incredible amount the last few weeks,i expect him to be the first player of the next generation to break thrugh and win a major

I don't call someone who hits exclusive inside out drilled FHs into the BH - having a game.Tenez wrote:No. He has a game behind it but he is really fragile nerve wise.noleisthebest wrote:Raonic...really is just a big serve.

Is that all he has to show for his height and 16-17 years of hitting the ball?
Just that bit ot good bashing timing on one shot?

I am not so sure actually. I think Raonic simply have not got the same weight of shots from the baseline.
Federer looks slow to me but it doesn't matter as much!

His legs are too awkward for moving forward...bending...he doesn't have hands...

Re: Day 12 - It's everything or nothing!
McEnroe is a slippery fish!
He now says Federer is the greatest. I don't take issue with it now being Federer, but in the last 13 years it went from Sampras to Nadal and to Federer who he has anointed with GOAThood.
For such a great player, what a lousy pundit and commentator he is!

Think the outcome of that passage of play was going to settle the outcome. TB, Fed wins, break from Raonic, and well I think he will take it from here.

Re: Day 12 - It's everything or nothing!
I didn't mind Federer's stubborn confident 2nd serves that brought him 2 DFs, but his shot selection on FH volleys has been quite below his standard all match.
Not sure why.

Shame Fed got the hardest draw this year compared to Murray. Far harder.

That game from 5-6 40-0 in the 4th set was so odd from Federer.

Not been that impressed by Raonic today, despite being 34 Federer has bossed Raonic from the baseline.
Raonic kept himself in it with serve, and then Roger went a bit mad and gave it away in the 4th set.

Agree with what you posted earlier about Fed being much more pretty to watch.Veejay wrote:gutted!!!!
Fed service games can be a bit too quick for my liking, but at Wimbledon his return games when he's really focused can be insane.
Best is when he does the combo of a piercing backhand slice, bringing his opponent forward but in no man's land, and then he'll cream the backhand down the line.
Raonic is just a massive servebot, NITB is right, I'm sorry. Of course when he gets the chance he hits the ball hard, and he's ok at the net because of his long reach, but that's about it.

Agh, two 5-setters a bit too much. Probably a mercy he didn't win because it would have been the 2012 Olympic final all over again - knackered Federer getting nothing.

Re: Day 12 - It's everything or nothing!
Federer is indeed very stubborn. That FH down the line on his set point when he had the whole court..and then that's how he got broken again in the 5th......but by then he was completely dead.
You might see up the thread that I noticed Federer tiring in that end of 3rd set. By the end of the 4th he had nothing left and everything looked much easier for Rao who was made to look better than he is.
However like BB I think it's a good thing Rao went through. He has now a better chance to stop Murray than Federer woudl have.
But hey maybe Berdych is going to surprise us all!

I fancy Raonic to win this now - Murray really is a tedious player and Berdych is useless.

Re: Day 12 - It's everything or nothing!
i still cant believe how roger blew the 4th set,so many chnaces up 40-0 in the last game and then lost it with several double faults
but i agree with everyone, had he won today,he certainly wasnt going to win on sunday
i quite fancy roanic's chances now,he weathered the storm and had no trouble serving the mathc out
that was pretty impressive agains roger at wimbledon semi finals cause i thought that he was going to choke in that last game

Told you Raonic will win W or at least a new guy.
Fed did his best, he cant win 2 x 5 setters in 3 days, should of taken 4th set and would still probably lose to Andy in the final.

i reckon roger will retire at the end of the year
it will still a pretty dam good wimbledon for a 35 year old who just came back on tour after injuries and illness
